why Banana Abby?

Hi, I’m Josh Solar. And I LOVE dogs. Always have; always will. It just so happens I am also a photographer. I decided a while ago that my dog photography needed a place all to itself, so Banana Abby was born.

Why Banana Abby? The name is inspired by our own basset hound, Banana Abby. We just love her to pieces. She’s our first family dog, and, well, we may be a little biased, but we think she’s the most lovable little dog you’ll ever meet.

Seeing how quickly she became a real member of our family, I realized that the bonds between humans and our four-legged friends are just as strong as the ones we share with our loved ones.

My focus for Banana Abby is to capture those bonds. Don’t worry, I shoot plenty of pet portraits. But my focus is on YOU + your dog, and the
connection you share.

Banana Abby is based out of Kansas City, but we'll travel if you insist :)
